B.a Badd & Revenxnt "The sun will set" [ALBUM]

Upstate New York's B.A. Badd and producer Revenxnt first surfaced this project in July with "Showtime" shot in Tribeca, directed by Gee.cts, and framed from the start as a full-length collaboration rather than a loose single. The sun will set is that album: ten tracks, twenty-six minutes, one MC, one producer, no committee. Who B.A. Badd is Born in Syracuse and based in Buffalo, Badd runs the E.B.E. Lifestyle imprint and has spent years assembling a catalogue the hard way A.R.T Work, Everybody Eats (1st Plate), Really HIM, and last year's Painted in Hunger, which Sypooda produced in person at Badd's Buffalo studio. He's shared records with Conway the Machine, Boldy James, Rome Streetz, Grafh, JR Writer and Cozz, and spent part of 2025 on Jae Skeese's Ground Level Tour. That's a working resume rather than a marketing one, and it shows in the company he keeps here. What the album does Ten tracks in twenty-six minutes means nobody is indulging a concept. Revenxnt produces all of it, which gives a short album the one thing short albums usually lack a consistent floor. The guests are used sparingly and placed well: Yung Stizz on "Pull Up," Mickey Factz on "Broken," Kota Savia closing on "Gunz on a balcony." Three features across ten records is restraint, and it keeps the record on its two principals. The sequencing is the tell. Two minutes in and out on most tracks, a one-minute skit at eight, and titles that point at mood rather than story "Nipsey Blues," "Villian," "Showtime," "Holiday season / No tomorrow." Badd's delivery is gruff and unhurried, closer to a report than a performance, and he tends to land the hardest line at the end of a run rather than set it up. Short, coherent, and made by two people who clearly decided what they wanted before they started. For anyone who came in on "Showtime," this is the rest of the argument.
